Daniel Stephen Homer

Dan was born in the West Midlands, England. At an early age, he was chasing fossils and capturing images with a camera his aunt gifted him. As a young adult, he pivoted to filmmaking, only to realise upon graduation from film school that he should have never let photography go. Rekindling his passion for the art, he promised to be faithful and give it his undivided attention, although fossils still adorn each surface of his London home.

The big questions, which science systematically chips away at generation after generation, consume him. Part of him wonders whether he should have taken the leap into scientific research - but he considers photography as his ethnographic lens - with which to reflect on the curiosities of our pale blue dot.
